To All:

I suppose I should update this section of my website.

Initially I thought that I would utilize this site more once I retired. However, with the relocation to Texas and The 'Rona, it just didn't work out as I had planned.

Once we finally settled in Murphy, TX it was somewhat difficult to get focused on a project that was intellectually challenging. I'm certain the warm weather had a lot to do with that. Anyway, as of late I have found myself extremely busy writing a historical novel. I know that a lot of people say they are going to write a book, yet never follow through. In fact, this is my second book that I am working on right now. This book, I estimate to be anywhere from 800-1000 pages and it demands a considerable amount of research. The story is about the Gospel of Mark and how it came to be written. I am in the process of breaking down the text, studying it in the original Greek and reading some of the best commentaries available. What I am trying to write about is, what was going on in the mind of evangelist when he was writing this book. Most biblical scholars agreed the book was written about the year 65ad. Secondly then, what social factors influenced the writer to formulate the text the way he did. It's and interesting study. Even if it never gets published, I will still finish it and move one.
